What Are Students (and Others) Saying About Us?

If you didn't see The Kinsey Sicks on Friday night, you missed one hell of a show. The four drag divas knocked Williamstown off its feet... The beauty of The Kinsey Sicks's show was that it was much more than a concert... Clearly, [the performers] were enjoying themselves, and their enjoyment spread through the audience like smiles across faces... The presence of a group like The Kinsey Sicks on campus is a tribute to the student body's diversity. Even older members of the community flocked to the event... The increasing acceptance of queer culture in Williamstown can be greatly attributed to the appearance of groups like The Kinsey Sicks.

Pushing the politically correct envelope was never as much fun as it was during America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, the Kinsey Sicks. It is an impressive act with great singing, hilarious dialogue . . . and a heart-felt message that shines through the crazy antics.

Your show was amazing. I don't think you have any idea what kind of impact you made on this campus. We had no idea that we would have such a huge turnout, but it brought the campus and the gay community alive. This will allow us to have more success with subsequent events and programs. The campus has been buzzing about the show... Some of these people I didn't expect to be as tolerant or as accepting as they were... And on top of all of this, you made the entire campus laugh! Thank you so much, keep doing what you're doing, it definitely makes a difference and it certainly made a difference for this small college in a small town in New Hampshire and I think I speak for the entire campus when I say you guys are wonderful, and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I just saw your show tonight at Central Michigan University and I was blown away. Your show was one of the best things CMU has brought to our campus. I met you after the show and you were all so sweet and wonderful. You have beautiful voices, and your stage presence was out of this world. I don't even know what else to say besides I'm now one of your biggest fans!

Both NACA and APCA had very well run, smooth, entertaining national conventions this spring (2004). The showcase folks will never forget Kinsey Sicks/Dragapella. You just had to see/experience it to believe it was happening on the NACA stage. I was shocked, I was laughing, I was ecstatic, I was so glad they were there. Cincinatti would not have been the same without the off-Broadway cast of "Dragapella" on that closing night. Having 2 of the guys from "Whose Line is it , Anyway?" at the beginning and the drag queens at the end, the Cincinnati experience was bookcased w/ 2 very memorable performances.

The show was awesome! A sold out house and two standing ovations! That's what makes all the work worthwhile. The reaction from the audience was overwhelming. Everyone in the house, myself included, was laughing throughout the performance. The guys are wonderful to work with. From the moment we picked them up at the airport, right through until we took them back, they were the most upbeat and professional performers that I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The guys delivered the most amazing show I've seen in some time. They spent even more time after the show with their new fans who were lined up for the chance to meet them. The guys gladly stayed until the last fan had the autograph and picture they wanted. That kind of attention to your audience builds loyal fans. Having the Kinsey Sicks as part of our Homecoming festivities was the perfect choice for us.

Thank you, Kinseys, for the fabulous show you put on at Bryn Mawr College!! After the show I overheard someone say that "Thomas Great Hall has never rocked like this!" And I'm sure it's true! There simply are not enough exclamation points to express the enthusiasm generated by the Kinsey Sicks... The Kinseys' wide appeal to many diverse groups is what prompted me to bring you to our campus. That, and of course your voices... You won us with songs that are hilarious, clever, irreverent, satirical, outrageous and smart. And your poignant themes won our hearts. We loved them all... My initial contact with [agent] Shelly Weiss was very reassuring and, together with your professionalism, made the whole process painless; it was a pleasure working with you.

It was a HUGE success and I don't think that I've ever had as much fun with four strangers in my whole life. They are absolutely fantastic people and that's not even counting their amazing talent. I'm hearing nothing but positive feedback and people saying that Rhodes is a better place because they came.

I attended your performance here at the University of Wyoming last night and I just have to thank you for making me laugh harder than I have in a long time. I've been kind of down lately, and your outrageous, exuberant, over-the-top performance was just what I needed.

America's self-proclaimed favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet rocked out with politically charged and hilarious a cappella songs, leaving a lively audience more than entertained. . . . hilarious. . . . The Kinsey Sicks was one of the best acts to have ever come to Lafayette.

According to Kinsey Sicks, "Deep down everyone's a drag queen." While that theory has yet to be proven, a lot of people had a lot of fun testing it last Thursday at the Kinsey Sicks show... "America's Favorite Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet" helped them find their inner drag queen with the thrilling mix of audience participation; raunchy, satirical comedy; and show-stopping song parodies that make a Kinsey Sicks performance such a unique experience. Whether they were singing an up-tempo song or a ballad, not a note was off-key, not a singer was out of harmony. Perky boobs and great voices? Some guys have all the luck.
